Our Goal: To education and engage the people of Springfield to aid in the Fight Against Hunger around the world.
Our Volunteers: Churches, Schools, Scouts, Friends, Families help us package the specially formulated meals. We prepare them for shipment with your help. The meals consist of 4 dry ingredients. Each of four people add an ingredient, others weigh, seal or box the meals and they are ready to ship locally or around the world.

There are many different groups with a similar mission, each with its own budget, fund raising structure, relationships for food distribution. But each and every group is committed to eliminate hunger in our world. We work with other packaging organizations to help minimize our cost of raw materials and supplies. Many times organizations will work together to complete a full container for shipping to a country with the greatest need.
We are all supported financially by our local community. Churches, clubs, individuals and civic organizations will help raise money to continue to raise money and further our fight against hunger in the world.
This wonderful idea of packaging this meal is the brain child of Richard Proutfit of MN, he saw a huge injustice and addressed it. There are KAH organizations in seventeen states and Canada.
KAH-Springfield has shipped meals to Iowa, The Kitchen in Springfield, The Salvation Army in Springfield. We have also shipped meals to Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, and, Tanzania. Other Packaging group ship to other countries. Today there are over 40 countries receiving the packaged meals.

Our Food The meals we package are uniquely formulated by food scientists to provide a rich source of easily digestible protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins needed by an undernourished child’s body and mind. The meal is a vegetarian rice caserole which is widely accepted around the world. The food offers 9 of the essential amino acids required for complete nutrition for the mind and body. It is very simple to prepare, requiring only 6-8 cups of boiling water to make a complete meal.
